Tremendous programme on BBC Four last night, called Homes for Heroes. It’s part of their lost decade season that looks at the immediate post-war decade of 1945-55. As you can imagine, lots of stuff about modernity in the series, and a load of modernist buildings in this show.
Sadly, I can’t find a listing, but they had a bunch of segments on buildings by Lubetkin, the LCC architects, etc. It was shocking to see places like Bevan House in such a poor state, but there were some lovely shots of Alton Estate West.

There was an architect prof from Cambridge doing a talking head piece, so I shall keep an ear out for open lectures.
