Following my discovery that Wordpress wasn’t producing a valid RSS feed, I realised that I had fallen somewhat behind on the upgrade front. Seems Wordpress is pushing 1.5.2 now. Well, a read of the upgrade instructions and a download later, and the site is kaput. A string of error messages tels me that restoring a backup is the way forward. ‘Cept, the one I had was corrupt, and I deleted the other. Fortunately, the medschool IT guys seem to have the backups side of things down, and a call later I find the deleted files magically back on my desktop. That’s what I am talkin’ about! On the off chance, I drop an email to my host, see if he can clue me in as how to approach the problem. More than that, he restores the backup, does the upgrade, and here we are.
www.neo-technic.com — they say “enabling communities” but I reckon “nice hosts for nice people” is much nearer the mark.
Few bits to do here and there, so please excuse the tidy default layout. I am sure I have my usual bodge look up and running in a while.
