I was reading about Michigan central station on the Shaunsquadblog, and ended up following a link to another site about a whole bunch of endangered buildings in Detroit. Places like the Statler and Book Cadillac are just wonderful. Then I came across the 11 most endangered lists at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. I guess the USA must have a programme like Restoration, too. I love that kinda stuff. Round here, the best ‘endangered’ building is Embassy Court. It’s just being done up, after years of neglect.

I think this stuff adds colour to the environment. I would much prefer these buildings were around and dilapidated than demolished for new builds, especially as it gives Ptolemy another shot at wooing Marianne.
