There are rules; like being a republican or having a liking for soiled undergarments, some things you aren’t meant to mention it in polite company. It makes people embarrassed and awkward. There’s no updated Noblesse Oblige, but there are some things that I thought were universal. I mean, when did it become ok to admit you play(ed) RPGs?

It’s a u/non-u’ arbitrary thing. Like some things are hi-fi, and some aren’t. Car stereos, mp3 players, most A/V gear. It is stupid for the most part - hell, I listen to my mp3 player nearly as much as my Naim kit, and of the when I am listening to my hi-fi at least 50% of the time it’s Radio 4.

Now I think about it, short of a handful of criminal offences and holding political stance anywhere right of Ken Clarke, being into RPGs is the only behaviour worthy of sanction.
